Discovering Kuyam has made my life so much easier, and has allowed me those rare and special moments of serenity I so desperately need. Kuyam is a Chumash word for “a meeting place where we can come together.” The website is an on-line marketplace, but for me, it’s like having my own personal concierge at my disposal 24/7. You select what type of service you’re in need of, whether it’s a dance lesson, a massage, a fitness class, or a number of other options. You then list the time, the distance you’ll travel, and the price range, and voila, Kuyam gives you a list of all available appointments in your area. They will even book it for you, so you don’t have to fuss with calling or credit cards. Kuyam also has weekly posts by LA’s top bloggers on parenting, fitness, and insights on things to do in LA.
Kuyam is not only an innovative new site for busy women on the go, Kuyam also has a presence in the LA community. They feature non-profits every month as a way to give back, and they can be seen at various fundraising events around town, such as the Winter Wonderland Event in Malibu last month, that raised money for such charities as; Sustainable Surf, Children’s Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, Sherman’s Place and the Humane Society.
Thanks to Kuyam, I never have to get discouraged trying to book a last minute appointment again. I also don’t have to fumble with my phone, trying to call all around town just to find an available slot for a massage. All I have to do is click on the app, and Kuyam will do it for me. The simplicity and efficiency is invaluable, and thanks to Kuyam, I can now delight in the indulgences I had once pronounced long gone after I had kids.
